CP2020 - Rules Variants
Rule of IP: Advancement is +1 level for each 10 IP you accumulate. You may not add more than 2 IP to any skill per session, and you usually must have used the skill to improve it. You get 1 IP added for each critical success (10) that you roll on a skill.
Simplified Martial Arts for CP2020: The existing martial arts rules in CP2020 (as outlined in the CP2020 main rules and in the “PacRim Sourcebook) are filled with contradictions, errors, and some strangeness. To avoid all of this unnecessary complexity, we will instead be using the following rules.
Simplified Netrunning Rules for CP2020 Southowilson 1.0: In the simplified netrunning system, we will not be using any of the existing cinematic, “Matrix”-style netrunning rules. Instead, use the following heavily abstracted rules.
Revised Armor Table for CP2020: This brings the CP2020 armor list, which is kind of silly, up to code. Inspired by the GURPS 4th Edition euipment lists.
